The department of English through sincerity, perseverance and passionate
attitude has assisted the institution soar to great heights. The Deptt. of English with
predetermined objectives for excellence is progressing onwards and adding
innovative dimensions-
1. The deptt of English believing in the infalliable mantra ‘effort spells
success’ organized two days’ national seminar on 25 th and 26 th Feb. 2015 on
the topic “Communication Skills and Higher Education”
2. At College level, the Deptt organized Special Lectures on “Nature and
Literature” and “key Issues in Leaning of English”. Dr. Savita Gupta (H.O.D
English R.S.S.G Degree College Pukharayan Kanpur Dehat), Dr Ranjana
Srivastava (D.B.S College Kanpur) and Dr. Prashant Dwivedi (Dr. B.R.
Ambedkar P. G. College Fatehpur) delivered Lectures as well as interacted
with Students
3. The Deptt. of English instead of having U.G. Level is providing Research
guidance also in form of assigning Project, Assignments and Paper
presentation also.
4. Through Departmental Library, the Deptt. is enriching the students with the
views and works of immortal English Literary figures.
5. English Council at College Level organizes various activities in every
session and students are motivated through rewards for their tremendous
performances.

6. Moreover the Deptt. motivates the students to enrich themselves
academically with the help of various journals, magazines and other reading
materials in Library.
7. The faculty involves the students in all academic and extra-curricular
activities. Extra as well as remedial classes are also held for feeble students.
8. The Deptt. of English does counseling of students through various modes at
its own level and also involves “Career Counselling Cell” existing in the
college.
9. English Deptt. in providing education to students uses ICT. Such use creates
interest among students in learning subject and thus motivates them to
concentrate, design and execute.
10. Innumerable Innovative Practices like- Teaching by Senior Students to
Junior, “Subject Seminars” for students at College level, etc. are providing
wonderful results.
Moreover, English Deptt. to achieve excellence in professional education
and create an eco-system for the holistic development of the students and to reach
standards of academic excellence by providing quality education, ethics, values,
morality and enhancing employability skills of the students is progressing by Leaps
and Bounds. Undoubtedly, the glorious dawn which the Deptt has visualized will
shower its blessings upon the entire prestigious institution i.e; "Govt. Girl P. G.
College Bindki Fatehpur".
